Happy National Coming Out Day
Happy #NationalComingOutDay 🏳️🌈💘
I've had to "come out" a couple times in my life. It's a misconception that's coming out is this one big thing that happens once and then you're done forever. Being queer anywhere on the spectrum often puts a person in the hot seat for years to come. All of a sudden, just because someone is queer, they become some sort of knowledge base for all that is different in terms of sexuality, gender, or relationship preferences.
Each person's experience is their own and that is what is so beautiful about it. I love being a part of the #queer community. It is full of so many talented, creative, beautiful, and mind opening people. I am someone who is open to questions and choose to be visible in order to help break down some of the stigmas around being trans. Finding out this amazing part of myself was life changing for the better, so I choose to be open about it. I am filled with gratitude to have truly found myself. I am a Trans Masculine Pansexual Man and so proud to be one.
For those of you struggling to come out or still trying to find the words that are comfortable to you... it's ok, take your time. The most important thing is to get it touch with who you really are. What brings you joy? What fills you with love? What makes you feel at home in your body? Find a group of others that love and support the true you, they're worth holding onto.
Much love 💘 River Eastwood, River Runs Wild
