EP 12 - 5 tips to make sure that you don't skip the gym!

This episode of THE BULK is a little different. I talk about how I stay motivated and a deep dive into where motivation is rooted. I also go into bodybuilding and working out as a form of meditation, which has been a powerful tool in my personal development.

I think motivation is often misunderstood. It’s a topic that comes up a lot… “I want to change, but I’m just not motivated”… “I can’t stay motivated”, etc. These are questions you see a lot. When it comes to training or fitness goals, motivation needs to be rooted in a more spiritual place. In the video, I cover why knowing your why is so important and how it has helped me push through tough times when I want to skip workouts or even give up altogether.

If you’re looking for 5 super practical easy to follow tips that WILL get you in the gym, those appear at the 13:40 mark of the video. They sound simple and almost like no brainers, but they work. They are the little steps that ensure that you actually get yourself to your workout.

  1. Look over your weekly plan and goals.

  2. Freshen up, splash some water on your face, brush your teeth = feeling better.

  3. Get dressed, including your shoes! Get all your gear ON.

  4. Take your preworkout.

  5. Get in your vehicle and GO. Just go. You can always leave, but at this point… after doing all the above, I don’t think you’ll back out.

I hope these tips can help you because they are the one foot in front of the other steps I use to complete my weekly training goals and get to my workout no matter what!
